Description
Rotary joint for cooling water and hot water. Large Series DP 65-100. Two‑way flow, designed for non‑rotating inner pipe. Nominal size DN 75. Rotor connection: right‑hand male thread NPT 3 (ANSI). Housing connection: radial NPT 2 female thread (B1) and NPT 2 (B2). Seal combination 1 (synthetic carbon 19K – chrome steel 18E). Medium: cooling water, hot water. Temperature range –10…140 °C, pressure range 0.2…10 bar, maximum speed 55000/DN ≈733 min⁻¹. Housing made of lacquered steel. Rotor made of stainless steel. Two ball bearings, factory‑lubricated, maintenance‑free up to 80 °C, for higher temperatures relubrication through easily accessible grease point required. Internal balanced mechanical seal, springs outside medium flow. Inner pipe supported in housing, no elbow required. Connection to rotating pressure system via standardized connection piece with sealing and centring face. Radial and axial housing connections with right‑hand female thread NPT (ANSI). Anti‑rotation device. ATEX certification optional. Set of drain plugs fits Large Series.
Possible Applications
This rotary joint is engineered for heavy-duty thermal management in the rubber, plastics, and converting industries, specifically for feeding cooling water or hot water into large-diameter rotating calendar rolls and laminating drums. It is deployed in machinery where continuous temperature regulation of wide webs or heavy sheets is critical during extrusion, pressing, and surface treatment operations. The capability to handle high rotational speeds combined with a non-rotating inner pipe makes it exceptionally well-suited for high-output paper manufacturing drying cylinders and textile processing machinery requiring reliable two-way media flow. Furthermore, its balanced mechanical seal design and robust steel construction withstand the demanding thermal cycles of metal continuous casting secondary cooling zones and heavy industrial heat exchangers.
