Description

Shock absorbing silicone foam with low compression set compared to polyurethane foam. Does not wear out easily and offers excellent long-term reliability. Performance is maintained even after repeated compression. Highly flame retardant with a temperature range of -40°C to +200°C. Ideal for outdoor use due to high resistance to weather and ozone exposure. ROHS and REACH SVHC compliant. Typical applications include sports mats, shoe cushioning/insoles, sports helmets/accessories, home appliances and office equipment. Sheet Size: 6x300x1000mm. Colour: White. Specific Gravity: 0.26. Needle Penetration: - (JIS K 2207). Asker C: - (JIS K 7312). Tensile Strength: 0.32 MPa (JIS K 6251). Elongation: 73% (JIS K 6251). Young's Modulus: 269.5 kPa. Specific Heat: 1.15 J/g.K (DSC). Thermal Conductivity: 0.06 W/mk. Volume Resistivity: 3.8 x 10^4 Ωcm (JIS K 6911). Dielectric Breakdown Strength: 3.8 kV/mm (JIS C 2110). Normal Temperature Range: -40 ~ 200°C.

Possible Applications

This silicone shock foam is engineered for high-cycle vibration damping and impact attenuation in environments where standard polyurethane foams would suffer from permanent compression set or material degradation. In the medical device and rehabilitation sector, it is frequently integrated into orthotic inserts and protective padding for patient-contact equipment to ensure consistent pressure distribution over extended periods. Within the electronics and appliance manufacturing industries, the material serves as a thermal and mechanical interface gasket, protecting sensitive internal components from shock loads while maintaining structural integrity across extreme temperature fluctuations. Its resistance to ozone and weathering makes it particularly suitable for outdoor enclosures and industrial instrumentation housings where environmental exposure would otherwise compromise the longevity of conventional elastomers.
